About Me
Mariola Dziobkowska, born in Poland, lives and works in Luxembourg. Profesionally active in the financial sector, Mariola has always seen art as the other end of her life spectrum: a passion and a hobby.
It is her little escape from the world of account, financial statements and flow charts. She uses multiple techniques: acquarelle, pastel, oil painting, tempera, pencil, charcoal, collage. Mariola's works feature different subjects: they vary in terms of mood and structure. Her landscapes, full of subtle colour lights and shades, display emotional and visual perception of nature and space. Flowers are reminiscent of the artist's Polish origin, field poppy and sunflowers being a typical element of Poland's countryside scenic beauty. In the series of pictures for children, Mariola, inspired by her little niece Zofia, applies a collage technique and lively, bright colours. Abstract images and portaits exhibit her individual vision and comprehension of life, people and objects.
